Which Gear Can I Send to the Ukrainian Army from the US?

American citizens can donate certain types of surplus military gear to the Ukrainian Army.

It is possible to send gear to the Ukrainian Army from the United States. However, there are some restrictions and requirements that must be met in order for the gear to be sent. Below is a list of restrictions and requirements that must be met:

-The gear must be new and unused.
-The gear must be in its original packaging.
-The gear must be properly labeled with all required information.
-The sender must include a letter of intent specifying the purpose for sending the gear.
-The sender must have a Ukrainian Army point of contact in order to send the gear.

The List of the Gear You Can Send

If you are looking to support the Ukrainian Army, there are many ways you can do so. One way is by sending gear to them. The Ukrainian Army has a list of accepted gear that you can send to them. This list includes items such as:


You can absolutely send clothes to the Ukrainian Army! Winter and summer clothes are both desperately needed. Please make sure that all clothes are new or gently used and in good repair. If you would like to send a specific type or size of clothing, please contact us and we will put you in touch with an appropriate unit.

How to Send the Gear

You can send the gear to the Ukrainian Army from the United States by using a package delivery service. You will need to include the following items in your package: a list of the gear you are sending, the desired delivery date, and your contact information. You will also need to include a return shipping label so that the gear can be returned to you if it is not accepted by the Ukrainian Army.

Sending as an individual

You can send packages to the Ukrainian Army through a number of nonprofits and other organizations. One way to do this is through the Ukraine Support Foundation, which has a program called vital supplies. You can also contact other nonprofits like Freedom men or Aid taras directly.

Another way to get gear to the Ukrainian Army is by contacting a unit directly and asking how you can help. The best way to find out how to do this is by joining a Facebook group for friends and family of the Ukrainian Army, such as Ukrainian Army Family & Friends or Army SOS. These groups are full of people with experience sending gear and can help you figure out the best way to get your package to its intended recipient.

Sending as part of an organization

If you are sending gear as part of an organization, please include the following information in your request:
-The name and address of the organization
-The name and contact information of the person making the request on behalf of the organization
-A list of the gear you would like to send, including quantities
-The preferred method of shipment (air, sea, or land)
-The earliest date you would like to ship the gear

Please note that we cannot guarantee that all requests for organizational shipments will be approved. We review each request on a case-by-case basis to ensure that we are able to best support the Ukrainian Army.
